As we all know Anne just released “Happy birthday Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle. In the Anne and Joan interview, Anne fondly reminisces about Betty telling her and Joan bedtime stories of “Nancy and Plum.” Wouldn’t it be great if Anne would publish some of these rare gems the same way she completed Betty’s P-W manuscript?

Yes! Anne is a treasured resource and without her efforts (and Joan's when she was living) recognition of Betty's talent might have faded away with the last generation. A small group of us would have continued to cherish her work, but Anne's efforts have ensured that a new group of children will enjoy Betty's storytelling. I hope that many of them will maintain their interest in her and seek out her adult work as they grow older.

I agree with you, Suz. Hopefully our site will continue to generate people’s interest in Betty’s writings and life not only with our generation but in the generations to come.

It would be REALLY great if we could get some of the out-of-print books re-issued. Mary's, too!

Debbie, there are sevearl publishing houses that deal with reprints. Amoung then are The Easton Press and, Random House's Modern Press. I will see what it takes to have a book nominated for inclusion.
